Our primary interest is aiding Christians through financing their own micro-projects that would provide them with income to preserve their dignity and alleviate the calamities of the crisis.

The team at Hope Center reviews and evaluates the projects and the extent to which the applicant has planned for his/her idea. If accepted, the center starts providing funds for the project to initiate.

Besides aiding Christians in need, this initiative aims for reviving the city of Aleppo that has lost most of its economic structure.

Metal Equilibrating Laboratory

The crisis in Aleppo has affected us negatively through all aspects of life, especially after losing our shop which was the source of income (it was in Ramouseh area). We suffered tough livelihood conditions after our father passed away who was the family's provider. As a young man I am finding it very difficult to build my professional future, in this unfamiliar field considering the lack of fund to start my own project. This project is the hope for a brighter future for me in these hard times.

Pastry Shop

I moved my job outside Aleppo because my workshop was in a very dangerous area almost fully ruined, but the equipment got stolen in the moving process and I lost the chance of a new beginning, now I need to start over once again but I still have the determination of being here and I hope to get back to work soon through the help of this initiative, and make something "sweet" out of this whole crisis.

Spraying Wood Furniture

I lost my workshop in Shekh-Kheder area and I became unemployed, then I heard about this initiative and found a shop for rent, I have to work although I am too old for this hard job but it is the only way other than begging for money. If I got this workshop I'll be able to provide for my family and keep my dignity.

Sewing Shop

I used to work at several workshops in tailoring on the sewing machines, during the war crisis I worked in a shelter that belongs to my brother in law under my house, and I borrowed sewing machines and with the help of my husband "who also lost his job because of war" and my kids who help me after finishing their study at the university, we work hard and get by. My goal is not to get rich, rather not to have to beg anyone for money and to have a decent life for our family. We're a big family and we need every little help we can get.

Kasak Restaurant

After shutting down the project in the JRS, we found ourselves jobless, we lived on our life savings, then we came up with this idea that the need for food is never fading,it's primary and thus we can provide a steady income through opening this restaurant, it will also be helpful to revive the community and serve a delicious food in addition to an enjoyable time.

Aluminum Workshop

We were displaced from Al- Saydeh Mountain and rented a small place through the help of CONGREGATION DES FRERES MARISTES. I was left with no job and two kids. I worked in several jobs just to provide income such as selling gas bottles, cleaning houses, cleaning chimneys, and anything I could find. This shop will be a new hope for me to start over after going through all this agony and to work in something that I actually like and know how to do well.

Espresso and Smoothies Machines

I was displaced from my house in Al-meedan area after it got damaged, to my uncle’s house, I left my shop and became unemployed for six months, which was the hardest period of my life, then I worked at my uncle’s shop but I lost my customers and I need a better income because the profits are little and these machines will help me alot to provide a decent life for my family and try to overcome the hardships we went through.

Taxi

I lost my job, my shop and my machines in Bustan Al-basha area,I can't go back there and the equipment is irreplaceable because it is too expensive. My sister is a widow, her house was damaged by a mortar bomb and her daughter passed away, the whole family lived in agony and I became the sole provider for her and her children and the one who's responsible for their education and daily expenses, this is not about a car, it's about a second chance in life for a family who has gone through so much suffering.

Car Furnishing

Because of war and the difficult circumstances that the city of Aleppo has witnessed, we lost our shop which was the family’s only source of income. My brother who's surving in the military was shot by a sniper and I helped him with affording the costs of his medical bills, along side with the family expenses; all that put a lot of pressure on me, then I heard about this initiative and I felt that there's still hope to start again, turn the page of sorrows and have the chance to work and help my family.
