Micro-Projects is a livelihood-support program which helps family providers who had either lost their livelihood during the war, or aspire to be a productive and financially independent part of the community by starting their own income generating business. By financing their micro-projects, Christian Hope Center is helping Christian families to have a sustainable source of income, through the provision of equipment, machinery and tools. This will eventually mitigate the economic harm caused by increasing poverty and insecurity, preserve their dignity, and alleviate the calamities of war and the economic crisis, which will ultimately preserve the existence of an active Christian community in Syria. In addition to the Micro-Projects supported in Cities of Aleppo, Homs and Damascus, the program also supports families who rely on agriculture as their principal source of income in rural Homs.

I lost my job, my shop and my machines in Bustan Al-basha area,I can't go back there and the equipment is irreplaceable because it is too expensive. My sister is a widow, her house was damaged by a mortar bomb and her daughter passed away, the whole family lived in agony and I became the sole provider for her and her children and the one who's responsible for their education and daily expenses, this is not about a car, it's about a second chance in life for a family who has gone through so much suffering.

Metal Equilibrating Laboratory

The crisis in Aleppo has affected us negatively through all aspects of life, especially after losing our shop which was the source of income (it was in Ramouseh area). We suffered tough livelihood conditions after our father passed away who was the family's provider. As a young man I am finding it very difficult to build my professional future, in this unfamiliar field considering the lack of fund to start my own project. This project is the hope for a brighter future for me in these hard times.
