George Touma (member of the charity committee in the Syriac Catholic church in Aleppo): “It is heartwarming how the Polish families reached out to support the Syrian families in these difficult times”

“the timing of this program was perfect because Caritas Poland was one of the few organizations providing support for the Christian community while others were focusing on eastern Aleppo”.

George Sbat (member of the charity committee in the Syriac Catholic church in Aleppo): “as the armed conflict came to an end, the relief programs decreased, the organization that continued to support us was Caritas Poland, the continuity of this program is essential for our Christian community that is facing an economic crisis caused by the war, people are touching the kindness and compassion in the gesture of the polish donors, who are a true example of giving unconditionally”.

The Syriac catholic charity committee is a hundred years old foundation, from its early start it offered medical services through their clinic “St. Asia Al-Hakim” and also financial aid. They were engaged in supporting the educational sector through helping schools and university students financially.
